About

Muotikummitus (Modegeist) - the ghost of fashion, moving through time and identities like a forgotten perfume in an old suit.

In the dark warehouse of a museum, where velvet and silk quietly crunch in their plastic pockets, the spirit awakens in the night. It is not a ghost as in other stories - neither a white spectre nor a creepy creature - but woven from layers of time: a corset that has seen the revolution, a flannel that smells of Woodstock, and a PVC dress that danced in the smoke of clubs.

Muotikummitus does not speak, but their steps change rhythm with the times. A whiff of 19th century national romanticism makes them walk with poetic gestures, lace fluttering. Then suddenly, with the electricity of the 70s, they change: a glitter-covered androgynous creature who looks at you like David Bowie - but with eyes full of ancient stories few remember.

Their face never stays the same: one moment they are a virgin inhaling the purity of Art Nouveau, the next a punk rock revolution shriek. Muotikummitus carries all - genders, ideologies, eras - and does not settle on a single identity.  They are an archaeologist of fashion and a vision of the future, at once a museum piece and a TikTok trend.

Their wardrobe is a gateway.

Step inside and you're in the middle of a catwalk, where Runeberg and Rihanna, Signe Brander and Leigh Bowery sit in the stands. Here, identities slip, dissolve, recombine. There is no longer a single truth about who you are - only how you dress in the moment, and what echoes of history your clothes bear.
